QUALITY ASSURANCE & SAFETY

Our commitment to Quality includes every aspect of our operation both afloat and ashore. DFM, in addition to meeting the requirements of ISO 9002, was already certified well in advance of that required by IMO and holds a Document of Compliance (DOC), issued by Lloyds Register, certifying that the Safety Management System of DFM has been verified and has been recognised to fully comply with the requirements of the ISM Code.

Not only does this assure our clients of careful attention to detail but also lays down the key standards which we believe to be critical in providing the best possible service.

At DFM, we consider safety to be of paramount importance. Our safety & environmental protection policy is designed to prevent accidents and incidents, whilst at the same time promoting a healthy and safe working environment for our employees and others who may be affected by our operations.

Our commitment to safety includes regular contact with Maritime Safety Agencies around the world, such as the US Coast Guard, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as well as active fleet participation in AMVER, the Automated Mutual-assistance Vessel Rescue System, in support of maritime safety.

DFM is also a signatory to the US Sea Carriers Initiative Programme, in addition to Memoranda of Understanding with other customs authorities, relating to co-operation on the prevention of drug smuggling. Furthermore, DFM is a Full Member of CYMEPA (Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association), an organisation solely dedicated to the protection of the marine environment.
